Calligram

For this project we were supposed to create an entire image with just text from a poem. I asked my mom to send me her favorite Arabic poem, and created an image that represents it with the text. The poem is about the love and respect a child has for his or her mom. I chose an image of a mother holding her child to represent the poem.

أمي يا ملاكي يا حبي الباقي الى الأبد

ولا تزال يداك أرجوحتي ولا ازال ولد

أمي وانت زهر في عطره أضيع

وإذ أقول أمي افتن بي أطير

عيناك ما عيناك اجمل ما كوكب في الجلد

أمي يا نبض قلبي نداي ان وجعت

وقبلتي وحبي أمي ان ولعت

أمي يا ملاكي يا حبي الباقي الى الأبد
